Jumeau Bisque Head

 

As in many dolls,the earlier the doll,the better collectors like them.

The same characteristics apply to a bisque head as to an all bisque doll.

There should be no craks or rubbed paint and few if any firing marks.

 

Jumeau made lots of bisque heads and sold them wholesale to a large number of doll makers so it is quite possibe to find a Jumeau head on another makers body ( Its not as unusual as you would think )

 

The head is a really important part  of the doll and it is VERY worthwhile looking in thrift stores and  fleamarkets at all their dolls heads.

 

It is even worth buying a doll in poor condition just to get the head.

You may later be able to fins a Jumeau doll with a broken head and you then have a really collectable/saleable doll !
