Jumeau Dress

One question I am often asked is Where can I get a dress for my Jumeau Doll?

Original dresses are pretty much like looking for hens teeth !
On their own they are rare as most people want to keep them in case THEY find an unclothed Jumeau Doll

There are a couple of options though .
First of all is to buy a pattern,pattern book or repro pattern book .With a little basic needlework and some gorgeous material
you will be able to make an authentic reproduction dress.
Remember to only use natural materials like silk,satin or cotton,etc.  as that was all that was available in Victorian times..
A slightly  more difficult way is to buy some antique fashion magazines from eBay in France and choose one of the many dresses that were
featured in those.This will mean a lot more research on your behalf but with the aid of a modern dolls dress pattern and
a little ingenuity (and quite a lot of pins !) you should eventually end up with a beautiful new dress for your treasured Jumeau Doll.
