In Victorian times, boys were often dressed in dresses and encouraged to play with dolls.
It was common for boys to play with their favouite boy doll.
As German companies made more boy dolls than anyone else, you will commonly see boy dolls in Traditional Germn costume although Frozen Charlies and Boy Kewpie dolls are fairly common.
Occasional nodder and clapper antique boy dolls can sometimes be seen
Rare still are fully jointed boy dolls as half dolls and jonted arm dolls are more common.
